Capri City Guide

Capri City Guide, Where to eat in Capri, Best places to eat in Capri, What to do in Capri, Capri travel guide, The Blog Stop, Ariel Garcia #travelguide

Rather than just take a day trip to Capri from Positano, we decided to stay on the island for a few nights. We hopped onboard a high-speed ferry from the Positano ferry terminal and arrived in Capri a quick 45 minutes later. Upon arrival, we were whisked away to our hotel in an open-air taxi (one of my favorite Capri experiences).

I didn’t have many expectations for Capri other than wanting to see blue waters and experience Italian island life. And our time in Capri did not disappoint.

Capri, to my surprise, felt quite different from Positano. It was much bigger with its own, remote ecosystem. We stayed in Anacapri and thoroughly enjoyed exploring the more local, laid-back side of the island.

Things to do

Explore Anacapri

With the fame of Marina Grande & Capri Town, don’t overlook the quaint town of Anacapri.

Monte Solaro

Take the scenic chairlift to the top of Monte Solaro for 360 degrees views of the island.

Lido del Faro

Go here to watch the most magical Italian sunset while sipping on cliffside cocktail from Bar Malibu.

Private Boat Tour

If you’re going to splurge on one thing in Capri, I highly recommend a private boat tour of the island. We booked our tour with Aurora Time and it was truly a once in a lifetime experience.

Where to eat

Bar Grotta Azzurra

Via Giuseppe Orlandi, 208, 80071 Anacapri NA, Italy

Go here during an afternoon exploring Anacapri. Everything is fresh & delicious. Be sure to order an affogato to-go when you leave.

Aumm Aumm

Via Caprile, 18, 80071 Anacapri NA, Italy

Another Anacapri favorite. If you’re going here for dinner, I would suggest making a reservation as the place fills up quickly.

Michel’angelo

Via Sella Orta, 10, 80076 Capri NA, Italy

Go here for authentic, artisan Italian food. Tucked away in the heart of Capri Town, it’s the perfect place to end a day on the water.
