A look inside my client process

November 11, 2019

It’s been a while since I’ve posted an in-depth look at my client process. So much has changed over this last year and my client process has continued to evolve with my business. I could write a 10-page essay filled with all the small details included in the client experience. But the purpose of this post is to give you a snapshot into the process. I hope that what I’ve outlined below gives you an overarching understanding of what it’s like to work with me.

All packages begin with an exploration phase. This phase includes a series of brand exploration homework assignments to help the client gather inspiration and understanding of their brand. They’ll complete a couple questionnaires on their brand’s identity and ideal audience. They’ll also create a few curated Pinterest boards to help us start to gather visual inspiration for the brand.

To kick off the design phase, I’ll put together a mood board for the client’s branding, based on their exploration assignments. The mood board gives us a visual starting point as we start to develop logo concepts and brand elements.

Moving into the design phase, I’ll present three different design concepts for the client to choose from. This phase is collaborative and allows the client to give me feedback about concept revisions they’d like to see.

From here, we’ll start to develop additional brand elements like patterns, collateral pieces and website design.

I work with all my clients on an on-going basis. Every business’s design needs are different and I love getting to partner with my clients on future projects. This includes but is not limited to website updates, email newsletter creation, new product design or marketing campaigns.
